Such a laughable farce yet so dangerous can a personality cult become. All dictators and kings seek power through the control of information and the manipulation of information.

This, however, proves the folly of having a state media where the government sets the guidelines and finance. Information is controlled only by the politicians. And by the way Canada has been set up, it would be a disaster if the CBC relied on public donations alone.

Mugabe and the ZANU-PF are among the most autrocious tyrants that have still gotten away with what they’ve done. We as a country cannot get any more involved than to impose sanctions, call our ambassadors, and halt travel going into the country, but offer refugee and easy, safe passage to here.

Though most likely it won’t. We Canadians are a heartless folk, going to war only if America wants to and denying refugees and foreigners with a criminal record into the country.

The CBC isn’t that different. It doesn’t have that independence from the feds. All it should have is funding that increases according to inflation.

As for this “election”… what words describe the scene, the atmosphere? There is to be no other choice now for the people of Zimbabwe other than to take up arms and dispose him. And my will there be blood.
