It’s time that Canada have two firsts, especially for this country: the first Canadian owned and Canadian based automotive factory, and the first Canadian factory to be owned by its workers. Some would say that it’s in reality owned by the union. Not necessarily, and a union wouldn’t be needed or necessary if the workers owned the factory themselves and run it democratically, electing PRs and leaders for some periods of time, establish checks and balances to ensure that the workers aren’t exploited by one or a few or the majority. And especially in this day and age when at last man cares for his planet seriously, we could happen to be the first country to create a hydrogen-fuelled car that could dominate the nation’s streets five years or so if such an action is immediate. American car companies care about money alone and are willing to do anything to get maximum capital. Gas prices are killing industry across the globe, and we the Canadians need and aught to take a stand in the world, contrary to our government, in being the first mass producing country to solely create hydrogen-fuelled cars. The Japanese have already started rolling them off the production line, and we should be the first North American company, if not country, to produce mass scale for mass consumption cars that run on hydrogen.
Now, there’s those that debate and argue against such an industry (hydrogen), claiming that it takes more oit to produce it. Maybe but that’s one aspect of it. Another way of mass producing hydrogen is taking certain atoms and breaking down to create hydrogen, since hydrogen is the most basic atomic model. A special process would be needed for that. We’ve heard of atom-smashers and accellerators. Why not combine those to create hydrogen?
The Carbon Tax will not do. The politicians of this country are far, far, far out of touch with the reality of economics, especially inflation in our oil and foods. There has been no enthusiasm, no encouragement, no support for any eco-economic alternatives that are in fact both business-friendly and environmentally friendly. The workers holding their own company with no red tape and creating hydrogen-fuelled cars would be a relief for the country.
