Browsing the netherworld of online subcultures I’ve come across more Lavoie shinnanigans, and this was during the Emiry fiasco. In the online forum of Cannabis Culture there was, in a single line, a claim that Lavoie ordered police to harass and intimidate protesters where an activist named Dana Larsen participated in. Today was day three of the vigil. Every day our set-up has gotten better. Ernie from Saskatchewan NORML brought down his great booth today. And with help from his friend we secured our banner in a very solid and wind-resistant manner. We also had two cannabis-flags there, and it looked a very snazzy vigil indeed.
David Malmo-Levine and I did an interview with the community radio here, it went well. Tomorrow we are on the Gormley show for 45 minutes, (11:15-noon) which is a very popular talk radio show here.
The police came by to harass us. Sadly David and I were off doing the interview. When we came back we were told two cops had come by. They had picked up and smelled the hand-rolled cigarettes one of our gang had been smoking. They looked around the booth but didn’t search anyone or their belongings. We heard from a friend in the courthouse that it was Judge Lavoie who sent them out to harass us.
On Saturday there is a major car rally thing here, and the whole city comes out for it. We’re going to see if we can set up our booth, or a display, in front of the Vinyl Exchange, Saskatoon’s oldest bong-selling shop. They are right on the same street as the car rally event.
We have permission to use the bandstand at Vimy Park on Saturday, Sept 11, from 3pm to 8pm. So we are having a rally that day to celebrate cannabis and support legalization. We are working on getting bands and a sound system.
David and I will both be gone by Monday. I am a little worried but it looks like the locals will be able to keep the vigil going on their own. I am planning to return around Sept 6, to help promote the rally and keep the vigil going.
Jody Pressman in Ottawa had been talking about coming out next week, but I think he is doing good work in Ottawa, having a vigil there at the Justice Minister’s office. So he probably won’t be coming out right away. So if we can get any folks from other parts of canada to come to Saskatoon next week to help out with the vigil that would be great!

This isn’t the first time the old bigot had expressed his vicious contempt for freedom of speech. Seriously, this happens not even five years after Lavoie got a verbal beating from the Saskatchewan Judicial Council, who despite the scandalous Martinsville Nightmare gave him a tap on the wrist and allowed him to continue to work. Apart from abolishing the monarchy and establishing a republic, help in the abolition of judicial councils and have judges approved and removed through impeachment by the people through their representatives.
UPDATE: It has come to our attention that in fact Lavoie was never harangued by the Judicial Council of Saskatchewan. We have our doubts but are willing to research and, if any, bring to you the facts. We sincerely apologize to our readers for anything that was and is and has been misleading.
After what seems to be a long, long, long hiatus… I have returned with bad news and thoughts to ponder.
Beginning with this. Yes. Again. We’re having a federal election for the second time before Steven Harper’s fixed date law. See, it’s hopeless, people. Hopeless under this system. Hopeless our system. What’s just as bad was the ruling of a Canadian immigration panel to give a white guy refugee status out of the classic racist fear of blacks attacking him. Sadly enough, it’s mentioned nowhere in our media. Obviously this is racist, considering how the panel frequently dismisses all other applicants who are non-white refugee status. The process is like a court, complete with lawyers, judges (I think) and a holding place for refugees. So much for the beacon of human rights the most obnoxious and stupid of Canucks like to brag about. If we were in favour of diversity, perhaps we should abolish the Monarchy first! And finally, to piss me off the goddamned most out of all the three is the fact there are more private contractors than ever in Afghanistan fighting for the US. This is disturbing. Everything under Bush was privatized. It is a frightening concept that within a few decades the US will become a purely private enterprise, everything and anything done for money. It has been made known that Blackwater (now Xe or something) has been implicated in murder and crimes against humanity and war crimes against Iraqis in the name of a dead prophet the Christians worship. It’s there, folks. All there. And yet no one seriously raises any questions about the possibility of any human rights abuses against Afghanis by Canadian soldiers. The US embassy in Kabul has turned into a “Lord of the Flies” scenario with a complete breakdown of command and sexual predators running amok. Seriously, people, we should’ve stayed behind and let the US deal with their useless war. Eight years and no Bin Ladin.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if they existed in Canada’s own armed forces. Take for example the one Somalia incident. Seriously, why hasn’t our government bothered in hunting and killing such domestic terrorists, these vermin, these repulsive adherents to an alien ideology of evil and domination? Since the Holocaust Museum tragedy, now these people have been awakened by the internal threat of these perverse, deranged psychos that haunt the streets of every city, town, village, hamlet, every profession at every level. Terrorist animals such as these must be swiftly punished!

What’s equally sickening (no pun intended) are the conditions our fellow Canadians are suffering under! There’s no hospital in the region, and many people are forced to live under one roof, causing diseases like this to spread. This must bring attention to the misery our fellow Canadians are suffering under race-based laws. Citizens, this is what monarchy does! This is what imperialism does! Depraved conditions such as these and other oppression and injustice must be remedied and amends must be made, especially once the Republic has been established!

Despotism is just as old as republicanism and democracy. The hands of one person bending the will and limits of his people to further personal advantage. All kings are tyrants, and all dictators are kings. And Kim Jong-Il is most certainly a king, exerting enlightened despotism on crack through the perverse and vile dogma of communism. Marx was inspired by the Paris Commune of the 1800’s, not by the whims of kings, and even he would be most horrified from the realization of what excess it creates! I personally believe in socialist ideas and ideals, but ones that are meant to be fair for everyone, introduced and applied fairly, limited by constitution, law and the will of the people. If it was true socialism, the will of the people would be respected. Republicanism is in a way socialistic, for the rights of everyone is protected, and there’s no kings because of the limits of power and the law defined by a constitution, and the head of state chosen by the people and with various powers. In communism, especially North Korea, the leader is chosen by a political aristocracy who belong to the same party or, in the case of KJI, bloodline with communism or the word “socialism” as a cloak for more diabolical purposes. Hugo Chavez is far different from Kim Jong-Il, though the elimination of term limits is disturbing and may prove disasterous under future leaders that may succeed him. Venezuela and no other republic is immune to its own Bush or Mugabe, just as kingdoms are not immune to a Caligula or a Nero.
Yet what to do with a warmongering senile turd? Half the earth’s stuck in either Afghanistan or Iraq, and would kill Canada politically and militarily if we would enter North Korea by force.

This isn’t the only incident where Canada is being intergrated into the United States.
Slowly and carefully, not only our businesses and politics but now our national languages are being under control by the Americans. This is what happens when we keep monarchy. Only under the Crown has Canada become more and more Americanized!
